After talking with Java, they said that the first time they host us they'd be willing to do so for free. We should take advantage of this opportunity to try and get as many new players at this venue as possible. I propose a "Welcome to Pathfinder" event. We could run a few tables of the Confirmation, hand out society numbers, and really break into the area and break in new players. Java was willing to make an event out of it and post it on their Facebook.
To give a full update of the situation, I got a yearly membership, so we will be able to have one table a month for free. If people want to game more often then we will have to pay $3 per person, which I know is dicey for some and doable for others. This makes it even more important to try and take advantage of their offer because even with the yearly membership I only get one table. For this event they are willing to do more than one.
I say we try running the event Sunday, April 9th. What we need are GMs willing to run the Confirmation for newbies and possibly another table of a 1-5 scenario for veteran society members wanting to show up. The goal is to both impress Java and bring in new players. If the date doesn't work for people, we have our pick of Sundays, Mondays, or Wednesdays.
